Track where your app ranks, and whether it is moving
Every keyword you track for your app, in every market you sell in: where it sits today, how far it moved, and who holds the results page with you. Pick the keywords that matter most to be re-checked every day, and the lines draw themselves.

An app rank tracker records where your app appears in App Store or Google Play search for the keywords you care about, and keeps checking so you see the trend instead of a single number. ReachFront's Rank Tracker searches each store the way a user would, 30 results deep, in every market you add, and lays every tracked keyword out in one table: its position today, its move over 7, 30 or 90 days, its best position, a trend line and where it sits in your other markets. Open any keyword for its rank line with #1 at the top, its position in every market, and the apps that hold the page with you. On Max, 3 keywords per app are re-checked every day (5 on Studio).
From a keyword list to a ranking history in three steps
Why one rank check tells you very little
Your app's position for a keyword is not a fixed fact. It moves when you change your listing, when a competitor changes theirs, when new ratings come in, and it is different in every country. A single check tells you where you were at that moment, not whether anything you did is working.
Rank tracking fixes that by asking the same question on a schedule and keeping every answer. Once there is a line instead of a dot, you can see a keyword climbing after a title change, slipping while a rival pushes, or holding steady in one market while it drops in another.
ReachFront's Rank Tracker keeps every reading for every keyword and market in one place. The table shows where each keyword stands and how far it moved; the keyword view shows the full line and the apps around you on the page, including how many of the apps above you have fewer ratings than you, which are the ones you can realistically pass.
Tracking ranks by hand vs. with the Rank Tracker
| By hand | With the Rank Tracker | |
|---|---|---|
| Finding your position | Search the store yourself, scroll, and count where your app appears. | Live store searches 30 results deep, with your app's position noted for you. |
| Every market | Switch store country and repeat every search for each market you sell in. | Every market you add in one table, with a view that compares them side by side. |
| Seeing movement | Keep a spreadsheet and hope you remember to update it. | A 7, 30 or 90 day change and a trend line for every keyword. |
| Staying current | Re-run the same searches every morning, or stop checking. | Your chosen keywords re-checked every day, and stale ones flagged for a refresh. |
| Knowing who to beat | Guess who else is on the page and whether you could pass them. | Who holds the page, with ratings and moves, and which apps above you have fewer ratings. |
What the Rank Tracker shows you
Everything you need to know about the keywords you have already chosen: where they stand, how they are moving, and who is in the way.
Who the Rank Tracker is for
Anyone who has picked the keywords that matter and wants to know, every day, whether they are winning them.
Rank Tracker at a glance
- Positions come from live App Store and Google Play searches, 30 results deep, the same search a user runs.
- A keyword's rank differs by country, so every market you add is tracked separately.
- On Max, 3 keywords per app are re-checked every day (5 on Studio); the rest keep their last check until you re-check them.
- Rating count is the best public signal of how entrenched an app is, so the tracker shows which apps above you have fewer ratings than you.
Rank Tracker, answered
How is the Rank Tracker different from Keyword Research?
Keyword Research is for research: type any keyword and see its demand, its difficulty and which apps rank for it right now. The Rank Tracker is for the keywords you have already chosen: it keeps every reading for your app, in every market, so you can see how each keyword moves over time and who you are up against.
Which stores and countries does it cover?
Both the App Store and Google Play, in the countries each store serves. You pick the markets when you add keywords: up to 20 on Max and 40 on Studio.
How often are ranks updated?
The keywords you mark are re-checked every day, in your app's home market or a country you choose for each one: 3 keywords per app on Max, 5 on Studio. Any keyword can be re-checked on demand, and keywords not checked for a week are flagged so you can bring them up to date.
How deep does it search?
30 results. If your app is not in the top 30 for a keyword in a market, it shows as 30+ rather than a guessed position.
Can I see which apps rank above me?
Yes. Open any keyword to see who holds the page, with each app's rating, rating count and how it moved since the previous full check. The page is captured whenever you run a full check; the daily re-checks record your own position.
Is it free?
